The New York Yankees are set to trade
Melky Cabrera to the Milwaukee Brewers for Mike Cameron,
according to two major league sources, the New York Daily News reported. The acquisition of Cameron would give the Yankees a veteran center fielder to hold the position for Austin Jackson's development.
The Yankees are "very close" to a preliminary
agreement with Sabathia on Wednesday morning, following an in-person
meeting between GM Brian Cashman and Sabathia in California, a baseball source with knowledge of the deal told ESPN.com.
