Today the Chicago Blackhawks announced that he had agreed with terms with legendary coach Scotty Bowman and is looking forward to working with his Assistant General Manager, Hockey Operations son, Stan Bowman.

The Wings have signed defenseman Brad Stuart to a four-year deal worth $3.75 million a season. It’s a slight raise from his $3.5 million salary last season. The deal also includes a limited no-trade clause in the last two years of the contract.

Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin capped an award-filled season by winning his first career Hart Trophy as the National Hockey League’s Most Valuable Player and Nicklas Lidstrom of the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings captured his sixth Norris Trophy as the League’s top defenseman at the 2008 NHL Awards Show.
