Tony Parker scored 55 tonight. Crazy Ridiculous Performance
for TP.
2008-2009 Predictions..... better late than never.....
After hours of negotiations, Ferry pulled the trigger
on a blockbuster deal that involved three teams, eleven
players, and a draft pick in a drastic attempt to give LeBron a supporting cast. After all, a Cavalier who does not support the King is not really a Cavalier at all; if you don’t get it, ask someone who knows something about English History. So what does it mean? Assuming no one ends up on
The Mavs have officially entered the Arms Race
in the West.
I read the latest crazy story about Gilberto
Gil a few minutes ago. I will link to
it shortly. But before I do, just know that it made me laugh, cry, and reach for my “man area” all at once. You’ve been warned. Here you go:
First of all, the idea of Pau and
Kobe together is awesome…. But I’m just so confused
by how much the Lakers gave up for Pau. I get it, a bunch of no names and draft picks, doesn’t affect the core group, but is this year’s Pau really worth Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, guard Aaron McKie, the rights to Gasol’s brother Marc, and first-round draft picks in 2008 and 2010. I don’t think so.
The New Jersey Nets are in serious negotiations
with the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers about
a blockbuster three-way trade that would send Jason Kidd to the Mavericks, league sources said Wednesday afternoon.
Let's say you were looking for good, well-thought
out, insightful All-Star pieces. Here you go: Empty The
Bench's East and West . Give Me The Rock's All-Star Dance Team . SLAM's B-List All-Stars . The Hoop and Harm's " Top 12 Players in Each Conference; Not Technically An All-Star List " All-Star List . We decided to do one, because they're fun. Which is what the All-Star game is ...
MY heart and soul has been with the
Seahawks my whole life, but Super Bowl Sunday I'm
pulling for the Giants New York Giants , living in New York now, with Plaxico Burress becoming one of my best friends here. And I think they can do it. Plaxico came to a Knicks game a couple of years ago and when I met him, he told me he likes the way I play. I like the way he plays, and he will need ...
Carl ranting about how great the g-men are
and how awesome this 2007 season playoff run has
been...
I asked a bunch of bloggers this question.
Things that compare to the Miami Heat. Go. Here
are the responses. Any Eddie Murphy film between 1992 and 2001 except for Life. The Eagles Greatest Hits. They are as bad as we wish the Knicks would be. Every scene from Jackie Brown not involving Samuel L. Jackson. Hearing "Let's just be friends."
Yesterday on Full Court Press, they were discussing
their top 12 players in each conference THIS YEAR.
Not to be outdone and because their lists sucked, I have decided to throw my two cents in.
Watching the Lakers play without Bynum was like
sitting in a room after the removal of a
Christmas tree. The place is no different than it was a couple of months ago. But it felt completely empty. The Lakers had 21 turnovers and one blocked shot. Kwame Brown had seven turnovers and zero blocked shots and enough boos to make even his coach cringe. When asked whether he had ever ...
The Heat and Mavs absolutely should be talking
about a trade that would bring Shaq to Dallas
and give Miami a head start on a major rebuilding project. We've mentioned that the Mavs still have Van Horn's rights, which is a major bargaining chip in the trade market. Why? Because the Mavs can sign him to a big deal that won't be guaranteed after this season, making the salaries work in a ...
There's no quicker way to put the Mavericks
on the defensive than to ask about defense. It's
good. Or, at least, it's getting better. Honest. "It's a whole lot better than it was earlier in the year," Josh Howard said Thursday. "We're still giving up a lot of points, which we shouldn't be doing, but for the most part, we're playing better D." So don't let those 122 points the ...
You know how the Hawks and Heat will
be replaying the last 51.9 seconds of their game
from a few weeks ago because of a scorekeeper's mistake? A Dallas Morning News reader asked Eddie Sefko what would happen if some of the players involved in that game were traded between now and then. Would they come back and play a minute for their old team? Is there precedent for this kind of thing?
The Blazers put together thirteen straight wins in
December, and as of last Wednesday, have won seventeen
of their last eighteen leaving them in sole possession of first place in the northwest division. The Blazers are getting the job done with a variety of young talented players stepping up and making big shots when they need to be made. This team will go as far as Brandon Roy will take them, but
I don't think it's going too far to
say that the Mavs are playing the best basketball
in the NBA right now. Their five-gamer is the league's longest active winning streak. Other than an uninspired win over a sorry Heat JV squad, the Mavs have pretty much been kicking butt and taking names lately. "We're not the soft team everybody expects us to be," Devin Harris said after the Mavs ...
As good as the Pistons have been, they
could have been so much better. As is the
case with even the best general managers, Joe Dumars let one get away. In 2003, the Pistons had the No. 2 pick in the draft thanks to a 1997 trade that sent Otis Thorpe to the Grizzlies. The Pistons needed a big man and Dumars selected 18-year-old 7-footer Darko Milicic from Montenegro.

How do you say 55 points in French?
