When my girlfriend fakes it, I'm still happy.
When an NBA crowd fakes it, I get no
pleasure. During the first few minutes of the Wizards-Pistons game, Antonio Daniels was walking the ball up the court. The score was something like 6-3 and there was like 10 minutes left in the first quarter. ...
That's Right!!! We WON!!!!.....the SECOND QUARTER!!! WHOOO HOOO!!!!!
Man that quarter was awwwwwwe-some!!!!!!!! It was like, we
were good!!! and stuff. Check this out, you aren't going to believe it. It totally says the Wizards beat the Pistons! By 11 points in the second quarter!
That's right, the Swog is back. It's a
new season for the Wiz, and I know all
of you missed my high school humor and super duper wit. Plus, I couldn't stay away, blogging is an addiction. Not like crack er nothin, that's gross and really bad for you (I hear). It's more like being addicted to
The most difficult decision of former Madison Square
Garden president Dave Checketts' career came late in the
1998-99 Knicks regular season when he was told to fire either the team's general manager (Ernie Grunfeld) or coach (JVG), Checketts told a group of college students yesterday.
Gotta love the Wizznutzz...
Oh, that we could live half the life
Dennis Green has led. He’s been an CFL tailback,
NCAA and NFL coach, CEO, philosopher, and warrior-poet. Hell, he’s even got an autobiography: No Room For Crybabies, But There’s Always Room For Jell-O. What would your autobiography be called? I Finished a Spreads
As many of you know, I interned last
summer at Comcast SportsNet. My main job was to
be their Blog Show intern, but I had the same experience other interns did, in that I logged tape, helped to cut highlight packages and did some field work. During my time there, I met exactly one Wizard. It was Roger Mason.
Topping the list? You know who's Expiring Contract.
I think we can all agree that Jamison
has been the Wizards' MVP this season, whether it's
been making key tip shots, or getting hot at the absolutely best time. Antawn has been the one constant in a season full of variables. He's currently leading the NBA with the largest net impact on team scoring and rebounding this season...
Arenas was medically cleared to return to game
action as soon as he feels ready, according to
a team source, but won't play tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks and remains unsure of when he will return this season. Arenas was told that he was cleared during a phone conversation with team doctor Marc Connell on Saturday, one day before the Wizards lost
A little too overexcited over there in the
bullpen, no?
Here are the 3 plays that are indicative
of the Wizards' problems.
Since 2007 was a year without a ‘Hey
Ya’ or even a ‘Take Me Out,’ I’m not
sure a single piece of music was played more frequently (or at least since September) than the piano in the NBA’s ‘Where Amazing Happens’ ad campaign. The vivid still images shown are decidedly theatric, speaking to the brilliance of Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, who helped create the campaign, the NBA's best marketing
As someone who covered this as close as
anyone and someone who spent an hour talking to
Fegan and about an hour talking to Ferry yesterday, I don’t think anyone can claim victory. One thing I am darn sure about is anyone calling either side having pulled “a masterstroke” is way off in my opinion. It is simply too soon to know.
Here lies the difference between James and nearly
every other professional athlete. Together with Maverick Carter, a
childhood chum and the de facto CEO of LeBron Inc., James is trying to create a new financial model for the 21st-century athlete. Instead of just lining up endorsements and cashing checks, James is seeking equity in the companies he works with; and he is using his on-court pro
CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) -- Evel Knievel, the hard-living
motorcycle daredevil whose exploits made him an international icon
in the 1970s, died Friday. He was 69.
Fantastic screen-grap of the score during the Knicks
game.
The Knicks have hit rock bottom. Is there
a bottom lower than rock bottom? They would be
there. Things can only get better. Right? Right?
Anyhow, not surprisingly, ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd has
been far ahead of the pack in stomach-turning 'baggery.
From the beginning, he argued that this could not be a random act, which is fine, but he insisted on doing so in the most obnoxious, self-serving and ruthless manner possible.
Did Agent Zero undergo a new secret procedure,
one that will have him back on the court
in three months when it has cost others a full year? Is Gilbert Arenas actually some kind of superman, an alien with healing powers far beyond those of mortal men? How will the Wizards will fare without the NBA's most valuable blogger.
