I spent a season following a minor league
team. I feel it is safe to say that
Bud Selig isn't qualified to run a small market independent team.
Chamberlain was arrested after an odor of alcohol
was detected and an open container of alcohol was
observed on the front passenger seat. Chamberlain was taken to the Cornhusker Place Detox and booked on charges of driving under the influence, having an open container of alcohol and speeding.
With the latest Mets collapse, there is a
new wave of interest in potential new Mets managers.
At the top of the list is Wally Backman - an accomplished minor league manager who was an instrumental part of the 1986 World Series Championship Team.

Former South Georgia Peanuts Chris Demons has been
promoted to the Syracuse Chiefs. The Chiefs are the
AAA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Demons is a switch-hitting OF with a ton of speed. He was signed out of an open tryout camp by Wally Backman in 2007.
What the HELL is that? Are they eating
the title of their show or are they vomiting
it at each other? I guess they could be yelling at each other, but their heads are tilted back like they are sneezing. Or something.
The Burlington Bees have teamed up with TV
show "Playing for Peanuts" to offer digital TV episode
downloads to their fans. Beginning August 25, fans will receive a free Digital Download Card with every purchase at the Bees Gift Shop. The Bees are the Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Mets. Meanwhile, Wally Backman's Joliet Jackhammers are riding a four game winning streak in the independent Northern League. Oh, by the way, Backman is still blacklisted from Major League Baseball.
