Washington Wizards representation in the Hardwood Paroxysm/BlowTorch NBA
Blogger Periodic Table.
Ok…well, not in so many words, but Mississippi
State’s brand new Athletic Director, Greg Byrne, had some
refreshing words for Bulldog fans after a disappointing loss to Louisiana Tech in the season opener.
Rounding out Wizards team evaluations for the '07-08
season is Coach Eddie Jordan. As long as I
remember the franchise's horrid past, and as long as they keep building with playoff appearances, you won't hear many complaints from me. But can Jordan take the team to the next level?
Mississippi State losing to Louisiana Tech had some
Bulldogs fans hanging their heads low and some Bulldogs
fans lifting their chins high.
Both Barack Obama and Sarah Palin have a
history of ballin' -- so who would win if
they played a game of one-on-one?

I've thrown some criticism towards Gilbert Arenas, but
now it's time to shed some praise......thanks to a
little Swagger Jack from our friends at Hardwood Paroxysm.
What do Wizards fans have to be happy
about? Why, a good GM and no real candidates
for the Rug Burn tournament.
Back in late August almost a decade ago,
Wizards/Bullets fan/nut, Robin Ficker, (also of Charles Barkley inviting
him to taunt Jordan and the Bulls fame) choose not to renew his season tickets, thus, ending his "era." Also......GM Wes Unseld signed a 34-year old guard, making him the ...
Is there a reason for Wizards fans to
be concerned about the Charlotte Bobcats in 08-09?
Remembering Scott Skiles and his one year as
a Washington Bullet stop-gap point guard.
There aren't a ton of fond memories of
Kevin Duckworth as a Washington Bullet. But where would
the cursed franchise be without characters such as the Duck? Here's to you Kevin Duckworth....rest in peace.
Mississippi State's Jamont Gordon, spurned by the NBA
draft, is now spurning America for Italy. Is Charles
Rhodes, who seems to have a mild shot at making the Dallas Mavericks, going to join him?
With the departures of Jamont Gordon and Charles
Rhodes, who knows how good Mississippi State basketball will
be this upcoming season....the estimations so far (all two of them) appear to be on different ends of the spectrum.
I'm giddy over the deal between ESPN and
the SEC....living on the East Coast, it means more
basketball (and football) from the best college sports conference in the nation.
Will Sylvester Croom and the Mississippi State Bulldogs
be ready for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs? Tune in
to ESPN2 at 6:45 pm (eastern) on Saturday to find out.
Olympic basketball hopefuls from around the world can
only hope for one shot at a medal. Why
the slight for a team sport when other sports, such as swimming for example, have 17 different medal events? Basketball should also be broken down into individual skills events which would give hope to more athletes. The IOC should add more medal events for basketball, and perhaps team sports in ...
The argument over the Washington Redskins and whether
the team nickname is racist or not will go
in circles seemingly until the end of time? Will there ever be a resolution?
The evaluation of Caron Butler's 07-08 season for
the Washington Wizards......early on, he reached breakout levels that
not many, especially John Hollinger, expected him to achieve. Unfortunately, injury limited a career year to only 58 games.
What former Bullet played locally (DC local) at
Coppin State, leading the Eagles to their first ever
NCAA tournament appearance? What former Bullet was the first ever undrafted player to make an NBA All-Rookie team? What former Bullet survived a home invasion where he was stabbed in the thigh and shot in the neck? What former Bullet once appeared in a Wreckx-N-Effect video?
The Wizards have announced their motto/slogan for the
upcoming 2008-2009 season. Here are the rejects from the
marketing team's brainstorming sessions.
