Who are the greatest fictional football players of all time? Solid breakdown by Peter Hartlaub of the SF Chronicle. My only complaints: not enough love is being shown to Johnny Utah or Willie Beaman, and no mention at all of Randall "Pink" Floyd.

Good article about the impact of undrafted players in the NBA. They almost never become superstars, but can turn into decent role players. I wouldn't mind making that kind of money for riding the pine....

Johnny Cochrane’s not coming through that door. There won’t be any, “If the leash don’t fit, you must acquit” moments. Maybe go with something like, “Don’t be upset, it’s just the family pet.” Go ahead and use that, I’m fine with it! I don’t even want any credit! Or maybe, “You do know some people eat dogs?
