2-minute drill

Keep an eye on the midseason reports, and you'll see that Bears quarterback Kyle Orton is being called one of the most surprising players in the NFL and one of the most improved. Could that translate into a Pro Bowl appearance? It will depend on injury, not just to Orton but to players who have put up significantly better numbers, such as Drew Brees , Kurt Warner and Donovan McNabb . You have to figure Jason Campbell , Aaron Rodgers and Jake Delhomme also will get plenty of votes. Rodgers has done a nice job of playing through a shoulder injury while earning a big-money deal. Orton can establish an iron-man rep of his own if he can recover quickly from his ankle problem. (link)
