76ers Reach Out to Mike Bibby, but Don't Get Love Back

According to a few sources the Philadelphia 76ers have been in contact with Mike Bibby's agent. Concurrent reports leave Bibby fans in Philadelphia disheartened. Bibby's agent has informed the 76ers that he is focused and fully intends to re-sign with the Atlanta Hawks. While this may sound like a "thanks, but no thanks," I see it as more of a ploy by Bibby to keep his options open if he doesn't get a contract offer, or a good enough one, from Atlanta. With the growing concern that Andre Miller may not be re-signed, the 76ers moved to the next best option, but would he be a better fit? In my eyes, Bibby and Miller can do all of the same things. The main difference in their games is that Bibby happens to be an all-around better offensive player, while Miller will take just about any point guard down low in the post. However, with more recent reports pointing towards Bibby and the Hawks reaching an agreement, it looks like were back to square one on the point guard search. (link)
