A Closer Look At Brett Favre the Great Archetype

 
Brett Favre after what 72 years retired from the NFL. My friends are so devastated it is over they are still in mourning and although I understand I do write with them in mind. You have to say it was a remarkable career from the consecutive starts to the stat of 36 and 9 in freezing cold weather which if he came from Iceland or some parts of Scotland you would understand but he is from Kiln yes Kiln in Ol Miss... There is another aspect to this Bret Favre love fest and it really has been a love fest in the press. There are sports writers you read in their assessment of Bret Favres' career almost eulogy's of Bret Favre and you could practically see the tear stains on the page or hear the keyboards shorting out for the wet of the eyes as they typed. There is an aspect of this where I have to say, they love him so much as he is a white archetype. In that he is not John Elway as in totally pretty he is not Joe Montana nicknamed Joe Cool as to me Brett Favre is a flawed hero. There is something ... (link)
