A few notes for Bomber fans

A couple of items that may be of interest to Yankees fans: I’ve told you about the terrific book, Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective, in this space before. If you haven’t gotten yourself a copy, you should run out and get one right now. And if you’re going to run out to get one, why not meet new Hall of Famer Goose Gossage and get him to sign the book in the process? Gossage will be signing the book on Thursday night from 7-9 p.m. at Bookends in Ridgewood, N.J., then again on Friday night from 7-9 p.m. at Book Revue in Huntington, N.Y. For those of you interested in the happenings in the Arizona Fall League, where Phil Hughes was named pitcher of the week in the opening week of play, check out Humberto Sanchez’s AFL blog in which he shares his thoughts about playing out in the desert.
