A Legend Lost: Brett Favre Decides to Retire

The heart and soul of Green Bay Packers' football, iconic quarterback Brett Favre, has decided to retire.  After several years of toying with the idea of trying life after football, it looks like Favre's post-NFL life has already begun. The news was first reported by FoxNews.com on Tuesday morning, and Favre's longtime agent, Bus Cook, has now confirmed the announcement. The QB reportedly informed Mike McCarthy of his decision on Monday night. This decision has truly stunned and saddened Packers' fans and Favre followers everywhere.  For nearly two decades there has been no such thing as Packer football without Favre leading the charge.  Now he is gone, and Wisconsin is not sure how their team will go on. Brett, may you enjoy retirement.  You have certainly earned it. All the same, we don't know what we will do without you.   [link]
