A Look at the Oklahoma Sooners' National Championship Hopes

 
The Oklahoma Sooners are currently No. 3 in both the BCS and the AP Top 25. Their current record stands at 10-1, with their only loss coming to Texas. Their most important victory was against Texas Tech. In that game, the Sooners played great defense. Sam Bradford also played well in that game, throwing for 304 yards and four touchdowns. He also went 14 for 19 in passing the football. Bradford helped raise the Sooners back into the national title race, but also helped his Heisman status rise. Oklahoma had two 100-yard rushers in the game also. Their offense clicked, and their defense stopped Texas Tech's high-scoring offense. Their defense held Michael Crabtree to fewer than a hundred yards and no touchdowns. The Big 12 South race has thickened even more now. Oklahoma could play Missouri in the Big 12 title game if they beat Oklahoma State this week. Texas plays Texas A&M this week. If the Sooners beat Oklahoma State, then they could jump Texas at No. 2 in the BCS standings and ... (link)
