About last night: A good, but long, game in the Bronx

 
While Squawker Jon was snug as a bug in a rug, kicking back at home after watching the Mets play in person, I was still in the Stadium watching the Yankee-Red Sox game. By the time I got back to Staten Island, it was practically dawn! What a long night. Anyhow, here are my observations: In his blog entry, Jon mentioned something about no longer being able to see Shea Stadium from the subway. Fortunately, you can still get a peek at the inside of Yankee Stadium from the No. 4 train. And it still takes my breath away each time I see it. It reminds me of every time I go to Walt Disney World, and get that first look at the Magic Kingdom from the monorail. There were a lot fewer Red Sox fans at last night’s game than I’ve seen in the past. I’m not totally sure why that is. it could be that so many of the tickets from these games are now only available to partial season ticket holders. And this meant that there was a lot less back-and-forth among Yankees and Red Sox fans. In ... [link]
