Acta to catch Bush's first pitch at opener

Nationals team president Stan Kasten confirmed on Friday that manager Manny Acta will catch President George W. Bush's ceremonial first pitch on Sunday night before Washington takes on the Braves at the new Nationals Park.

For those interested, Washington Times sports business reporter Tim Lemke is conducting a chat regarding the new Nationals Park. On Sunday, when the new Nationals Park opens, President Bush will be part of the celebration as he throws out the first pitch. But, it will be manager Manny Acta that will be behind homeplate, not Nationals catcher Paul Lo Duca , who was named in the Mitchell Report.
