Add Wang to list of April gems

After Chien-Ming Wang’s performance last night, a two-hit complete game against the Red Sox at Fenway Park, it occurred to me that not only is it increasingly rare to see a complete game, but it’s particularly rare in April because quite often managers have a quick hook early in the year, especially in cooler weather. So, I decided to look up the last two-hitter or better thrown by each team in April. Some of the names may surprise you. Which do you think is most surprising, that the last Met is Aaron Heilman, that the A’s haven’t had an April two-hitter since 1976, or that Shawn Estes’ name is on this list twice? [link]
