With the beginning of instant replay in what used to be the most pure game on the planet, i think its time to review this call by Bud Selig.  I know, I know, its only for home runs, but with the instating of instant replay in baseball, there's only more to follow. Reading an article by Jayson Stark on espn.com, he said that replay should be extended from home run calls to fair or foul calls, traps or catches, correctly positioning baserunners after fan interference, and unbelievably, he says that it should be extended onto safe or out calls on the basepaths.  I personally can't even begin to imagine a world of baseball without blown calls. Baseball has had them for over a hundred years, and baseball still continues to be one of the most popular sports in the US, and maybe the most popular in the world next to soccer. By putting instant replay into baseball, the game will prolong already long games even longer.  Take the only use of instant replay so far for ... (link)
