Ailing Sharapova, Hantuchova pull out in Germany

Maria Sharapova has pulled out of next week's German Open because of an unspecified injury.
The Australian Open champion has not played since losing to Serena Williams in the quarterfinals of the Family Circle Cup in Charlston on April 19.
In a statement, the third-ranked Sharapova said she hoped to return "as soon as my body allows me to."
Daniela Hantuchova, ranked No. 10, also withdrew from the clay-court tournament because of a stress fracture in her right foot.
