A. J. McCarron may have not been named camp M.V.P. that went to Georgia commit Aaron Murray, but he dazzled scouts at the Elite 11 camp in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
McCarron is perhaps the highest-profile quarterback to commit to Alabama since Brodie Croyle in 2001.
The St. Paul's Episcopal School rising senior looks a lot like him to, "They all were saying 'you look just like Brodie Croyle and all that, but I'm actually just as big as Brodie was and I'm taller now," McCarron said on Friday.
Now, all he has to do is play quarterback like Brodie did.
Many of the scouts were saying he was among the top two or three quarterbacks in attendance and that his accuracy set him apart from the other 10 quarterbacks at the camp.
"They felt like me feet were a lot faster than what they heard, that I was a better athlete and moved better than what they thought I would," McCarron said.
The only thing against him now is his size standing—6-foot-4 and 188 pounds. Many ...
