Alright, This Is Getting Ridiculous

 
A while ago I actually heard an analyst on ESPN say that what Brandon Spikes did to Washaun Ealey was assault and should be treated as such. Really? He said this was NOT football and it's no different then if it had happened at a movie theatre. WOW! Quick, somebody dig up all the old Trevor Matich footage and let's see how many dirty moves he pulled in his career. I'll guarantee you he didn't make Notre Dame's starting offensive line by being a gentleman. So Trev, I guess using your logic baseball pitchers should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon for throwing at a hitter who digs in at the plate a little too comfortably or stares at his home run? I guess race car drivers who utilize the "chrome horn" and cause a wreck should be charged with reckless driving? Fist fights are "part of the game" in hockey. At movie theatres, it's called assault and battery. I understand you have to justify the multitude of ESPN channels re-hashing the same old tired garbage hour after hour, but this ... (link)
