Dear Mr. James,
As a loyal Cavs fan who has endured the years of pain put upon me by numerous general managers, players, and coaches, I humbly grovel at your feet and beg one thing of you.
Of course, I want you to stay in Cleveland for your entire career. But that is not why I am on my knees.
No, what I want of you is much easier. All that I ask of you is to look, for yourself, at the options you have for your basketball future.
Granted, you could make a sizable fortune in New York. Patrick Ewing did it. So did Stephon Marbury. And I am sure countless others have as well.
But what did it gain them? Any rings?
Sure, the kind you can buy!
We all know that's not the kind of ring you want, is it?
No, Mr. James, I believe the kind of ring you seek is most available in your hometown. The money will be wherever you choose to go. I beg of you, just look closely!
