Andre Miller Remains Atop the 76ers' Free Agent To-Do List
With free agency closing coming in just a few short hours, the Philadelphia 76ers have no questions as to who they're targeting. The news the past week or so out of Philadelphia is that the team is focused on bringing back 10-year veteran point guard Andre Miller. While the 76ers recently used the 17th pick in the draft on their point guard of the future Jrue Holiday, he's not ready to be the court general for an NBA team just yet. Andre Miller cost the 76ers $10 million last season, and sources have him wanting the same amount over the next three seasons. The 76ers, even though over the cap, still have the ability to re-sign Miller. However, if he chooses not to stay in Philadelphia, the 76ers will not be able to offer the same contract to another free agent. “He’s the main free agent, an important free agent,” said Sixers' president and general manager Ed Stefanski. “Neither of us is going to be at each other’s doorstep at 12:01 a.m., but we will talk on July 1. ...
