The fourth-seeded Murray beat Jurgen Melzer 7-5, 6-0, 6-3 in a third-round match Saturday and at one stage was just one point away from winning 12 straight games. Murray only played a set and a half in his first-round match when Romania's Andrei Pavel retired with an injury, and he won his next two matches in straight sets.
