newyorkmetsdaily.com 7/22/2008 — According to Buster Olney at ESPN, free agent Freddy Garcia is scheduled to audition for teams on Tuesday, August 5 at the University of Miami.
Peter Greenberg, Garcia’s agent, told ESPN Garcia has been throwing off the mound since June and he continues to build arm strength. Olney claims Garcia’s velocity, which was 85-87 mph earlier this month, was at 82-84 mph recently.
