There is some bad news coming out of opening day of rookie camp here at the Flyers' Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ. Backup goaltender Antero Niittymaki will miss four to six weeks after having hip surgery.
If you follow the Flyers, you know that this will be the second straight year that Niittymaki has had surgery on that hip.
There's still no word on what the Flyers will do to replace the void now behind Martin Biron.
Stay tuned for information as this situation develops.
