Arron Afflalo and Walter Sharpe Traded to the Denver Nuggets

While it was known to happen already, the deal sending Arron Afflalo and Walter Sharpe to the Denver Nuggets has been finalized today. In return, the Detroit Pistons received cash considerations and a future second round pick. Losing Dahntay Jones to the Indiana Pacers, the Denver Nuggets lost a defensive presence at the guard spot, and bringing in Afflalo helps them out at the two spot and provides defense and some offense as well. The Nuggets also get a 350,000 they can give to Sharpe's contract as a bonus in acquiring Afflalo. Sharpe was drafted 38th overall by the Sonics in 2008 and was traded to the Pistons immediately, and is going to be entering his second NBA season. Afflalo will be entering his third NBA season with the Denver Nuggets. This move gives the Pistons cap flexibility toward signing a player. They have expressed interest in signing a big body. (link)
