Arsenal Draws to Liverpool: Title Hopes Fading?

 
After drawing at home to Liverpool, it appears that Arsenal’s title hopes are slipping away. A 3-2 comeback win against Bolton last weekend gave the Gunners a glimmer of hope in pursuit of their first Premier League trophy in four years, but after failing to beat Liverpool at home for the second time in a week it means Arsenal now lie five points adrift of leaders Manchester United. Peter Crouch had given the visitors the lead in the first half, but Nicolas Bendtner equalized with a header from Fabregas’s free-kick in the middle of the second half. Arsenal was unable to build on the goal, however, and was left to rue two more dropped points at the final whistle. Next up for Arsene Wenger’s side are leaders Manchester United. If the Gunners are to have any chance at all for league glory they must win at Old Trafford. But Ferguson’s side will be well aware of the consequences if they surrender all three points at home.
