Auburn's Missing Link: A Go To Receiver?

 
Running back U! Auburn is known for its great running backs. One leaves for the NFL, no problem. Bo Jackson to Brent Fullwood, Carnell Williams/ Ronnie Brown to Kenny Irons. What about receivers? Terry Beasly to.......,   Lawyer Tillman then huh........ Not that Auburn hasn't had any recently. Who can forget the hardnosed play of Courtney Taylor? But then, well no one really stands out. That's one area Gus Malzahn, Trooper Taylor and the offensive staff is going to have to address going into the 2009 campaign. Does Auburn have any receivers now? Or is Auburn going to have to wait and get them in recruiting? One receiver that could be that guy is Tim Hawthorne. He's big, fast and had a good spring. DeAngelo Benton, a former five-star signee, could see playing time this fall. Terrell Zachery and Emory Blake should be in the rotation as well. With the fast paced offense Malzahn brings, these guys could have a major impact on some big games this fall. With a new coaching staff this ... (link)
