The Colorado Avalanche placed defenseman Adam Foote on the injured list Saturday due to injuries to his lower back and knee, and recalled defenseman Aaron MacKenzie from Lake Erie of the AHL. Foote, 37, was injured in the second period of Colorado's game against Los Angeles on Nov. 22 and didn't return.
