A couple of unfortunate developments after last night’s Game Three at MSG: It looks like Penguins’ checking center Max Talbot may have a broken foot, suffered after blocking a shot in last night’s game. Of course, the Penguins are staying mum on Talbot’s condition.

Sean Avery went into cardiac arrest late last night as a result of a lacerated spleen. Also, Blair Betts and Chris Drury have suffered injuries that could keep them out of action tomorrow night.

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Sean Avery suffered a lacerated spleen in last night’s game, and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. He apparently went into cardiac arrest and was not breathing when he arrived at the hospital at 3 am.
