The Colorado Avalanche pulled Jose Theodore and sent him to the team hotel, saying he was sick.
Theodore gave up four goals on 16 shots against the Detroit Red Wings before getting replaced by Peter Budaj early in the second period Thursday night in Game 1 of the second-round series.
Tyler Weiman became the Avs' substitute goalie.
