Baker 'tweaked something' at minicamp (updated)

 
Disgruntled TE Chris Baker suffered an undisclosed injury in this morning’s minicamp practice and spent most of the session riding a stationary bike at Hofstra. Afterward, Baker told reporters that he “tweaked something,” but he declined to be specific, citing the team’s policy on injuries. How’s that for an oddity? The guy rips management for misleading him about his contract situation, then he plays the good soldier, following a team rule. Weird. Baker did take more swipes at the organization, and I’ll bring you those quotes shortly. UPDATE: The ever-secretive Eric Mangini, explaining why his tight end left practice only 20 minutes into the two-hour session, said Baker’s back “tightened up.” It was Baker’s decision, according to Mangini, who emphasized, “He was not held out.” Hmm, this Baker soap opera gets a little more interesting every day.
