Many Non-BCS programs around the country have adopted Fresno State Coach Pat Hill’s mantra…”We will play you anyplace, anytime, anywhere. Not only has Utah, TCU, BYU, Troy, and Boise State adopted this mantra, they have used it to climb up the discombobulated stratosphere known as the BCS.
Although these program have yet to gain acceptance in the convoluted and monopolized BCS National Championship game, they have gained a great deal of respect around the country.
Boise State’s miraculous comeback in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl was one for the ages. Many claim it to be their all-time favorite among the elite BCS Bowls. But prior to Boise’s miracle in the desert, they had already beaten several BCS programs and held their own among the Non-BCS Mountain West, Conference USA, MAC Conference, and the Sun Belt.
