Bannister solid in win over Brewers

Brian Bannister went five solid innings, striking out three and walking none, and Joey Gathright posted two hits in the Royals' 4-1 victory over the Brewers on Friday. The Royals stole four bases without being caught in the win.

Kansas City Royals Jose Guillen and Baltimore Orioles Jay Gibbons both had their suspensions pushed back. As the commissioner’s office and player’s union get closer to a deal it was decided that these suspensions would be pushed back 10 days. If the negotiations reach a stand still within those times, you can look for both players to have to serve 15 games.Predictions for the 2008 Brewers

Brian Bannister was excellent in his final Spring Training start against the Brewers on Friday. The right-hander struck out four and walked none in the Royals 4-1 win. Bannister hopes to cut down on his walks and increase his strikeouts this season.
