Baseball and The Current Great Depression

 
After seven years as a big mucky-muck at my company, I was laid off today.  The "In-Human Resource Lady" said something about "Necessary for the survival of the company."  I saved the company $400,000 last year and was given an award for saving the company more money than anyone else.  I would think that keeping me would be "necessary for the survival of the company."  Hmmm?  The CFO or CEO or UFO or some kind of O looked terrible. He looked like he didn't sleep last night. His stomach made a "big fart noise" right after he said "trim the fat".  The Executive Vice-President had a prom night zit on the tip of his nose and a little snot on his tie. He launched a spit towards the onlooking crowd, who also had lost their jobs. He lisps when he says "Theveranth package".  This caused the launch of the spit.  The kid who is running my department now is about 1/2 my age. They didn't let me go because of my age though.
