The Chicago Bears thought they were getting a longtime fixture at left tackle when they used a first-round draft pick in April on Chris Williams. But Williams underwent surgery Wednesday to have a herniated disk in his back repaired, and his status for his rookie season is unclear. It's not known how long he'll be sidelined but the Bears are indicating, at least for now, that they plan to keep him on the roster...Please click on the title to continue reading this entry.
