Big East Power Rankings: Week Four

 
After four weeks of play, the race for the Big East title is clear as mud.  The conference is as wide open as any, with South Florida, Cincinnati, and Louisville all looking like contenders. Other would-be contenders Pittsburgh and West Virginia have yet to show consistent form. The Big East is a combined 16-11.  Only Connecticut and South Florida are left unscathed, while Syracuse and Rutgers are still searching for win number one.   1. South Florida South Florida has done just enough to win its past three games with an average margin of victory of six points.  The Bulls haven't looked incredible outside of a thrilling second half against Kansas, but they have done enough to stay atop a mediocre Big East.   2. Cincinnati The Bearcats are down two quarterbacks, but coach Brian Kelly can't be worried after junior Tony Pike went 20-of-24 for 241 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-20 victory over Miami of Ohio last week.  Pike did all that in his ...
