Extra Bases • Single for Ortiz
That single snapped an 0-for-17 streak for David Ortiz. Perhaps the mental health day that Terry Francona gave Ortiz yesterday helped. Ortiz had previously been 0-for-7 lifetime against Jake Westbrook.
