Blalock's return to shift lineup around

Hank Blalock could return from the disabled list as early as Friday, and will become the Rangers' new everyday first baseman. Blalock's move across the diamond will force changes in the Rangers' at-bats distribution.

Texas Rangers’ third baseman Hank Blalock is following the footsteps of other oft-injured sluggers, and that is moving to first base. Blalock is currently on the disabled list with a torn left hamstring since April 26th. Hank was actually the one who brought up the idea of him playing first, saying he thinks its best for the team.
