Every once in a while, I need to hand this space over to somebody with a true passion for sports (I misplaced my own ardor sometime around 1998, after the World Cup in France, but I’m still looking).
Vinny Milano is not at all happy that Hank Steinbrenner has invited Red Sox owner John Henry to join the Bleacher Creatures. And so today, here are some words from Bald Vinny, T-shirt salesman supreme and appointed leader of the Section 39 roll call:
“As the official mouthpiece for the bleachers and a media whore by nature, I thought I might be able to sneak in a quote and get a little bleacher buzz before the season starts.
Here is my ‘official’ comment:
