Better effort, same result Isles bounce back after bad game but still lose 6th in row

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The final score and the Islanders' effort
were a major improvement over their embarrassing 9-2 loss in Pittsburgh, and goaltender Joey MacDonald rebounded with a solid 32-save performance. But a "respectable" 3-1 loss to Columbus last night at Nationwide Arena still went in the same column in the standings as the Isles' previous five games.
