The Charlotte Bobcats continue their losing ways, dropping their third straight game, this time to the Atlanta Hawks, 88-83. Let me tell you all right now, they had a chance to win this game as well.
I looked at the first quarter numbers and Charlotte was winning 24-16. Then I go to look again and by the end of the half we blew the lead. What is wrong?
Atlanta turned the ball over 20 times and Charlotte only turned the ball over 14 times. Off of turnovers, Atlanta had 21 points, while we only had 15. What caused the Bobcats to lose was the poor field-goal percentage, which was 42.3 percent to Atlanta's 44.6. Charlotte was also out-rebounded 41-35 and 8-7 offensively.
The Charlotte organization finally must have read one of my articles because they took my advice and started D.J. Augustin. Augustin led Bobcat scorers with 26 points and seven assists. Gerald Wallace had 17 points along with 10 rebounds, and five assists.
Money man Emeka Okafur had another dismal performance in the scoring ...
