This is a night of high honors and touching tributes, a night that will go down in history as “pretty good for a Tuesday.”
Glen Wesley is rewarded for 20 years of service and his number is retired by the Carolina Hurricanes, a good reason but not what makes it so memorable for me.
The Bruins break out of a short funk in the third period and explode for three goals as they return to their grind em’ down and wear em’ out game, also nice but not the entire reason for my peppy and optimistic attitude.
Claude Julien gets his 200th win, a well earned milestone for a man who has had to put up with unfair amounts of crap in his former locations of employment. A hearty salute to you Claude, but that’s still not the reason tonight personifies the definition of “it’s all good.”
