Michael Ian Borer, an assistant professor of Sociology and Urban Studies, has done exhaustive research on the urban psyche of Boston Red Sox fans and their relation to Fenway Park. The result is a fascinating book called "Faithful to Fenway," which looks at the ballpark as a "third place" between work and home. [link]
