Bad break for the Yankees - Alex Rodriguez is going on the disabled list for the first time since he joined the team in 2004. He has a quadriceps strain. I can’t remember the last time Alex was on the DL; he’s been pretty healthy for most of his career.
This is not the news the Yanks needed to hear, especially with Phil Hughes having another shaky outing, and the team losing to the Tigers at the Stadium.
