Brent Musberger Thinks He Is Bigger Than the Game

Brent Musberger's love of himself reached an all time high in the Rose Bowl coverage today.  Penn State mounted a comeback in the second half and USC needed two interceptions in the waning minutes including one in the endzone to pull out a 14 point win.   Great comeback by Penn State?  Never mentioned. Scenarios on how Penn State could pull it out?  Never mentioned. Discussion about Pete Carroll's inability to keep his highly-talented teams focused for full games and full seasons?  Never mentioned. Pictures of Brent Musberger dancing with Cloris Leachman and discussion of a cameo on Dancing with the Stars.  Plenty. Unfortunately, he brought Kirk Herbstreit down with him.  Every college football fan I know groans when they hear Musberger is covering a game.   What does ABC see that we are all missing? (link)
