Flashback to week four, where the Denver Broncos were the fashionable bandwagon sitting at 3-0, about to face the lowly Chiefs.
Denver should have coasted, and won, as I foolishly predicted by 40 or more points. However, Kansas City showed up to play, despite the fact that they were 0-3, and the Broncos were absolutely stunned as the Chiefs handed them a 33-19 loss.
The Chiefs (2-10) have been awful this season, ranking 32nd in total defense, 30th in points allowed, and in the bottom ten of nearly all offensive categories (rushing: 12th).
However, the Broncos are going to approach their home game against the Chiefs as though they are playing a 10-2 squad.
Why?
The Broncos have lost three straight home games this season, the worst streak they have had in recent years.
As Henry Gula earlier reported, it seems as though the Broncos grow complacent whenever they beat a good team and face a crappy one the following week.
