The Boston Bruins' recent woes continued in the Sunshine State on Saturday night.
The Bruins, who snapped their four-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 5-1 win in Raleigh against the Carolina Hurricanes, dropped to 1-3-2 in their last six contests following a 2-0 loss to the Florida Panthers (30-21-8).
Panthers goaltender Tomas Vokoun helped ensure another rough night for the B's, who have scored just seven goals in their five losses. Vokoun stopped all 41 shots for his sixth shutout of the season and the 31st his career, reaching the 20-win plateau for the sixth consecutive season.
While Vokoun did the job in goal, Radek Dvorak provided all the offense with two goals early in the third period, handing Boston (40-11-8) only its 11th regulation defeat of the campaign.
The Panthers remained red hot, winning for the 9th time in their last 13, and are 14-5-3 since January 1st.
