Bubble Watch Part II: The ACC

 
The ACC will most likely garner 4 to 5 bids this year.  Unlike the Big East, which has 5 locks for at-large berths, the ACC only has two: North Carolina and Duke.  Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Maryland are all in the hunt for the final at-large berth.  Their fates will not be determined until the ACC Tournament concludes. Remember: Only 34 teams receive at-large berths.  This is a down year for the ACC. Are they worth of more than 4 or 5 bids?  In the NCAA Tournament: Duke, North Carolina Terms: RPI- Ratings Percentage Inde    1) Most-likely in, but still have some work to do:   Clemson 19-7 overall, 7-5 ACC  #22 RPI The good : The 2007 NIT runners-up, barring a complete disaster, will make the tournament.   They lack a big win but they went to overtime twice vs. North Carolina this year (88-90 OT loss and 93-103 2OT).  Non-conference wins over Mississippi State, DePaul, South Carolina and Alabama.  The bad: 72-82 ...
