The Buffalo Bills today signed free agent tight end Courtney Anderson. Anderson had only visited with the Bills over the free agent period and promptly signed a contract for an undisclosed amount of time. He visited with the Bills last Wednesday and within less than a week he signed with them. It was obvious that Anderson wanted to sign with the team, because he had several positive things to say about the Bills and the Buffalo community. I see this signing as a good one. Anderson adds depth to the tight end position for the Bills, and he could even possibly compete with starter Robert Royal, and backups Derek Schouman, Teyo Johnson, and Tim Massaquoi. I see the starting tight end coming down to whoever performs well in training camp and in the preseason. Most likely it will come down to either Anderson or Royal. The Bills could also draft a tight end to add to the competition for the starting job. I would prefer Anderson as the starter over Royal and all the other tight ...
